Our vineyard covers 7 hectares, 45 parcels on six communes, i.e Katzenthal, Sigolsheim, Kientzheim, Turckheim and Ingersheim.
The nature of the soils, the terrain and exposures are therefore very varied.
GRANDS CRUS
Grands Crus Wineck Schlossberg - Katzenthal
Located on the hills above Katzenthal, between 280m and 400m altitude. South-east facing, steeply sloping and protected from the winds ( closed valley on
three sides).
Its filtering and shallow soil sits on highly disaggregated, two- mica granite bedrock.
This is a terroir where the Riesling finds its natural place.
Grands Crus Kaefferkopf - Ammerschwihr
Finally, the Kaefferkopf which had been defined in Ammerschwihr in the early 1930s, became the 51st Grands Crus of Alsace. This is a clay calcareous sandstone soil planted with Riesling and Gewurztraminer.
